Bochord: Exhibit and Artist Reception
August 8, 2025 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
This exhibition showcases over 100 miniature books created by Beth Weaver-Kreider during The One Hundred Day Art Project this spring, where artists commit to exploring a single artistic process daily for 100 consecutive days. The Old English word bōchord literally translates to book-hoard or library, honoring the ancient reverence for collected knowledge and the treasure-like quality of books. Together, these miniature works create a little library, a contemporary interpretation of the medieval concept of hoarding books as precious objects, inviting viewers to discover the magic that emerges when daily practice transforms into an extraordinary collection of handcrafted artifacts. Many of these little treasures will be available for purchase during the weeks of the exhibit.
Stop in anytime Radiance is open to view the exhibit (and perhaps purchase a tiny book!). The exhibit will be available from now until the end of August.
Artist reception will be on Friday, August 8 from 5-7pm
A teacher and poet from Wrightsville, Beth has been making things as long as she can remember, and actively making magic for 25 years. Making magic, making poems, making books—all involve the art of spelling, and an awareness of the sacred art of communication through language.
