Holy Basil (Tulsi) is one of the most sacred healing herbs in Ayurvedic medicine. In India, it is believed to be the plant incarnation of the goddess Lakshmi and is planted at the front door. An adaptogen, it is traditionally used for the mind and nervous system, lifting the spirits and dispelling depression. Not for use during pregnancy, with infants and toddlers, or for extended periods of time.
