Uva Ursi (Arctostaphylos uva ursi)

Sometimes called Bearberry, this is one of the traditional herbs in Kinnick kinnick and other ceremonial smoking mixtures. Medicinally used in formulas to support health of the urinary tract. Closely related to cranberry and blueberry, uva ursi is a low-lying evergreen perennial bush whose berries are a favorite of bears, hence the name “bearberry.” However, it is the leaves that are used traditionally. 1 ounce bag of whole dried leaf.
