Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium)

Wormwood is a gorgeous silvery artemisia used in digestive tonics, formulas to settle upset stomachs, and rid the body of intestinal parasites. It is sometimes used to help bring on delayed menstruation, and has a diuretic action that can be helpful at that time. Not to be used by pregnant women.

Wormwood is famous for its use as a French liquor, Abysinthe, which for many years was not sold in this country. Ask for a recipe & I’ll include it with your order. You’ll also need star anise, white sage, spearmint, coriander, caraway & cardamom.
