Monarda tincture may be helpful in Meniere’s disease and tinnitus. For tinnitus caused by loud sound (concerts?) clinical herbalist Margi Flint recommends 1-3 drops, 1-3 times a day for an extended period of time.
Monarda, also known as Bee balm, Wild bergamot, and Sweet leaf, is native to North America and is a traditional medicinal herb here, though not widely in use at this time. It has been used for any yeast overgrowth condition, including Candida and athlete’s foot. I use fresh leaves and flowers of both the fistulosa and didyama varieties to make this tincture.
Matthew Wood also recommends it for moving “heat” in the kidneys, bladder and gall bladder. This is a combination of both the fistulosa and didyama varieties.
2 oz cobalt dropper bottle.
