The Newgrange Stone is thought to be a sacred Solstice marker.
This is a small scale replica of the massive sacred entrance stone from Newgrange, the 4,500-year-old womb-like grave in Meath, Ireland. The spiral symbolized serpentine energy and cyclic time. Triple spirals represented the “triple life source,” namely the Goddess. Many other triple constructs appear at Newgrange.
This stone aligns exactly with the moon’s position at the winter solstice, the date when longer days and plant growth resume.
