Palo Santo

(Burseara Graveolens) Palo Santo or “Holy Stick” is a natural aromatic wood used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous people of the Andes as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing, to get rid of evil spirits and misfortune, as well as for medicinal purposes.

Palo Santo has a fine citrus aroma with underlying notes of frankincense, its close relative. It is often used by shamans in sacred plant spirit ceremonies.

I first learned about Palo Santo from a Brazilian shaman, who used it between participants in a healing ceremony. It cleared the energies quickly and then dissipated, leaving no lingering traces. Truly remarkable.  We burn Palo Santo often in our shop to keep the energies peaceful.

This Palo Santo was harvested from naturally fallen branches in Peru.

Each box of premium sticks has five sticks, which are 11.5 cm in length.

Each box of chips has 12 oz of chips.
