Osha root (Ligusticum porteri) is native to the Rocky Mountains, Osha root is a traditional Native American treatment for indigestion and upper respiratory infections and is considered a “Bear Medicine.”
Like its Chinese cousin Ligusticum, Osha supports respiratory function, will induce sweating, and is thought to prevent the development of a full-blown cold or flu. Osha is also used to help coughs become productive.
Our Osha root tincture is made from ethically wildcrafted root which we purchase from a respected herbalist who tends a wild stand. It isn’t harvested every year, in careful consideration of the plants.
1:4 – Certified Organic alcohol, distilled water
20-40 drops (1-2 mL) in juice or water. Take 3 times per day.
